Animations for Doomsday thinkers
OHRA has launched a brand-new multi-year campaign, starring a new couple: Roos & Matthijs. They are a younger couple who constantly worry about all the things that can go wrong in their life. This results in humorous stories in the live-action tv-spots. All crazy situations that luckily never happened, because it's all in their head, get it? The "doomsday thinking" scenarios will be accompanied by funny animations, where 3D versions of Roos & Matthijs do silly/absurd things. This way we all know how silly it is to worry about these things, when you are insured by OHRA.
The Job
OHRA's Roos & Matthijs scenarios need to be accompanied by a number of funny 3D animations and stills, for tv-tagons and online media.
My Role
— All client contact during proposal and pre-production phases
— Managing proposal, treatment and pitch
— Negotiating scope/budget with client and booking freelancers
— Budgetting and planning the 4x campaign/projects, scheduling milestones/reviews in advance
— Kick-off and client reviews during pre-production
— Handing the project over to my colleague, who did the rest (project still ongoing)
The Process
For this we designed and created two 3D characters, based on the likeness of the real Roos & Matthijs actors. Once the 2 characters were done and approved we produced a number of animations and key-visuals, for all the different situations that OHRA has insurance for.
Below you can see the phase 1 "car insurance" deliverables. The project is still ongoing and much more is planned.
