Your child's first savings account
Monnie – the cheeky purple hippo of the SNS bank – teaches kids how to handle their money. These days children are in less and less contact with ‘real’ money. So how do you really teach them the value of money? With Monnie!
With Monnie's many disguises, he teaches “Monnie Tricks” to the smallest first time bank account owners. Teaching them how to save money, track their allowance and more. You might have seen him as a Rapper, School-kid, Detective, Skater or dressed and ready for the Summer Holiday but to us he’s just the lovely cheeky hippo.
The Job
The original Monnie character was designed and built by Colorbleed a couple of years ago, in collaboration with Alfred International. (Before my time)
For this new campaign we were asked to take the character -slightly redesigned ones- and make 5 new full-cg animations.
My Role
— Client point of contact for all production and financial needs
— Scoping, budgeting, planning, and scheduling all milestones/reviews with client
— Finding and booking freelancers / planning resources
— Clear communication between all stakeholders and personnel
— Managing team from start to final delivery
— Managing client reviews, approvals, and deliveries
— Invoicing, collecting final assets, approved credit lists and portfolio live dates
The Process
For this project we took 5 re-designs (disguises) of the character, cleaned up and rigged the character for animation.
In a very short time, five animations were made, ending on a typical pose, all rendered on a purple limbo, delivered as image sequences with mattes for the client's edit.
